Vera Bradley Inspired
I saw the new VB designs for this spring and loved the colors. So this is my attempt to use those as inspiration.
Hope you enjoy.
Basic gray, whisper white and daffodil delight are the colors I used.

SU Card Kit
Jen and I started sorting all the DSP we have and I discovered an Old SU Card Kit. I thought I might as well use it and I made 9 cards. Pretty simple, using Old Olive, Rose Red, Perfect Plum and More Mustard.
The kit included the card stock, stickers, ribbon, buttons and brads. I made a total of 9 cards in less than an hour.

Scrapbook - Christmas 1958
I'm trying to make time for my scrapbooking again. I've been so busy with work, it's taken a backseat to everyday chores.
I found this picture of my Aunt and Uncle along with their cousins taken at my Great-Aunt Betty's house in Columbus. (I think)
I used My Digital Studio to create this page, sticking with a Black and White team and adding just a strip of Bermuda Bay DSP. Don't you love the Antique Brads?

Picture Frames
I've had these 2 frames for awhile -- they've held up really good and I wanted to share them with you. They hold pictures of my two favorite puppy dogs, Howard and Abby. They were very easy to create and make a nice little gift for someone's desk. Just to let you know I did not come up with the idea, just copied it, but it's cute enough to share.
Howard uses Night of Navy and Kraft. The bone stamp and brad are Non Stampin' Up. Here's a side view....
Doodle is last. I used Black and Pink -- she is a princess after all.

Resolutions
I've never been big on setting resolutions, but for some reason last year and now again this year I've really wanted to. I'm trying to be positive and add more to my life than take away and hopefully become a better, happier person. Remember if you set goals they must be Measurable! How else will you know WHEN you succeed.
I hope to be back with some new cards and scrapbook pages soon. This year has started liked a run-away train.
Enjoy your day and just because I love my dogs so much here's what Howard's been doing lately. Sitting on the register getting warm!

Happy New Year
New Year, new resolutions. I feel pretty good about what I managed to do last year. I did create a blog and I posted -- not as often as I'd liked to, but with the year I had I think I managed to accomplish my goal. I've decided 2011 is going to be about ME! I am going to start appreciating myself more and be less critical of what I do. Hopefully this will mean I'll be more creative and have more to share. Work promises to be hectic -- new job started last July and it keeps me more than busy -- but I love it. I plan on posting my resolutions -- most are very intertwined and all relate in some way to being nicer to myself! I've started out the year in a positive way -- my sister and I did what we said we'd do over the long weekend and that counts for alot. Here's to a GREAT 2011!
